Privacy Policy

DIONFX (“we”, “us”) provides a private trading journal, Setup Checker and related tools at dionfx.org. The data controller is Dion Emmanuel, a sole trader established in Belgium. You can reach us at info.dionfx@gmail.com.

Account data: your email address and authentication details when you request access or sign in (including via Google sign-in).

Access-request data: your name, email, Discord username, experience level, interests and any message you send when you request access.

Content you create: the trades, notes, chart screenshots, models, tags, accounts and settings you add to your journal.

AI inputs: the setup details you enter and any chart images you choose to include when you use the Setup Checker or DFX Intelligence.

Technical data: basic logs and privacy-friendly usage analytics needed to operate, secure and improve the service. For signed-in accounts, this includes daily counts of app page categories, Setup Checker runs and DFX Intelligence runs.

We do not ask for or store payment card numbers on our own servers; payments (when enabled) are handled by a third-party payment provider.

To provide the service and your account — store your journal, run the Setup Checker and analytics, and manage your access level (performance of our contract with you).

To secure the platform, prevent abuse, enforce access rules and improve the product (our legitimate interests).

To comply with legal obligations.

Where required — for example non-essential cookies and third-party market widgets — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

When you use the Setup Checker or DFX Intelligence, the setup details you enter and any chart images you choose to include are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your result. This content is used only to return your analysis and is not used to train third-party models.

Please do not include other people’s personal data or confidential third-party information in your notes or screenshots.

We rely on trusted processors to run DIONFX: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (hosting and privacy-friendly web analytics), Cloudflare (DNS and network), Resend (transactional email) and Anthropic (AI processing for the Setup Checker and DFX Intelligence). Data shared with each provider is limited to what that service needs to function, and we have data-processing terms in place with them.

Some of our providers (for example our AI, hosting and network providers) are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an appropriate safeguard — such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Your data is stored on EU-based infrastructure where available. We keep account and journal data while your account is active; after you delete your account we remove your data within 90 days (allowing for backups). Unapproved access requests are kept for up to 12 months, and email logs for up to 12 months. Signed-in product usage counts are aggregated by day and kept for up to 90 days. Some data may be kept longer where a legal obligation requires it.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, export and restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can export your journal from within the app, and you can request deletion by contacting us; we action deletion within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels). If you are in the UK, you may also contact the ICO.

When you are signed in, DIONFX keeps daily counts of app page categories, Setup Checker runs and DFX Intelligence runs so the operator can understand adoption, support users and improve the service. These operational counts do not contain chart images, trade notes, setup rules, query strings, IP addresses or device fingerprints. They are visible only to the master account and are kept for up to 90 days.

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. Signed-in operational usage counts use your existing account session and do not add a tracking cookie. We also use privacy-friendly web analytics to understand aggregate public-site usage, and — only with your consent — third-party market widgets (TradingView) inside the logged-in Market Watch that may set their own cookies. We protect your data with access controls, per-user data isolation, encrypted connections, private storage for uploaded images and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply measures appropriate to the risk.

DIONFX is intended for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
